There’s been a lot of controversy over recent NFL QB Power Rankings from the 2025-2026 season. A lot of good, bad, and weird takes have been circulating around social media. I had some interesting takes myself, since I was seeing a lot of undeserving people listed in some of these rankings (all my opinion of course lol). Let’s dive in and talk about what the real 2026 QB Power Rankings look like.

#1 – Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

This felt like a no brainer when mentioning the top dawg of the league. Took home his first MVP of his career and was consistently dominant all season long. Stafford finished the season with 4,707 passing yards, 46 passing TDs, only 8 interceptions thrown, and had a 109.2 QBR average throughout the course of the year. Deserving of an MVP? Absolutely. Deserving of the #1 spot in my power rankings? You bet your a** he is. The guy was out there playing Madden on rookie difficulty. If you still think someone else deserved the #1 spot on this list, I don’t know what to tell you—we clearly weren’t watching the same season.

#2 – Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen respectfully can slip into the 2 spot on this list. I did not like how many turnovers he made during the 2025-2026 season, but he was still the entire Bills offense. Allen finished the year with 3,668 passing yards, 25 passing TDs, 579 rushing yards, 14 rushing TDs, a 102.2 passer rating throughout the year, but was accompanied by 10 interceptions and 6 fumbles. If Josh Allen had limited the amount of turnovers created by his offense, I think the Bills would have ended up giving the Seahawks a run in the Super Bowl. Until the Bills clean up these little things, they will continue to disappoint in January. Josh Allen is a dawg regardless, don’t get me wrong. Him being as versatile as he is landed him the 2 spot on my list.

#3 – Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

I don’t really understand the hate against Dak Prescott. I love watching him play when he is fully healthy. What he was able to do in the 2025-2026 season coming off another injury definitely exceeded everyone’s expectations. The NFL community only sees the turnovers and the risky plays, but what’s the issue with being aggressive? How can a guy show he can produce without making the impossible look routine? I think Dak fills those shoes perfectly. He has an amazing 1-2 combo in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens at WR, so let that mf fly! Dak finished the year with 4,552 passing yards, 30 passing TDs, 10 interceptions thrown, and held a 99.5 passer rating throughout the course of the year. If it wasn’t for his atrocious defense and the amount of turnovers the offense produced, Dak would honestly be fighting between 1-2 year after year.

#4 – Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes had a down year last season for sure, but he’s still inevitably a top 5 QB in the league. Patrick Mahomes went down toward the end of the 2025-2026 seasons with a torn ACL, so we will see how his game is impacted when he returns this year. Overall, Mahomes was solid throughout the year, but he wasn’t getting the job done like he had been in seasons prior. He falls to the 4 spot on my list solely because of efficiency throughout this year, which shocked everyone across the league. Mahomes finished the year with 3,587 passing yards, 22 passing TDs, 422 rushing yards, 5 rushing TDs, 11 interceptions thrown, and had an 89.6 passer rating throughout the year. In my eyes, this next season is crucial for Mahomes. We will see how the new ACL treats him and how his performance is affected.

#5 – Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Jared Goff is a guy that everyone overlooks across the league. He is absolutely deserving of a Top 5 spot after last season, where he dominated every portion of the game. Losing the mind of Ben Johnson did not slow this guy down at all, but it did deteriorate crucial points in close games for the Lions. Talking about pure QB play here, Jared was easily a Top 5 QB in my eyes. Jared finished the year with 4,564 passing yards, 34 passing TDs, only 8 interceptions thrown, and held a 105.5 passer rating throughout the course of the year. I mean, the result of the Lions season last year was not because of Goff. The NFC North faced the toughest competition for 18 week, and Goff rose to the challenge every week. If the Lions had secured a playoff spot and made a run, Goff may have been fighting between the 1-3 spots on this list. Moving on.

#6 – Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

I mean, this guy is absolutely deserving of a Top 10 spot. Jordan Love is the definition of a dawg, plain and simple. I think Jordan gets so much hate solely because he wears Green and Gold. Any other organization would take Jordan to be QB1 in a heartbeat and that’s just a fact. The dude is overlooked because he is “risky” with the ball? Absolutely not. This guy is a gun-slinger who makes 40+ yard throws look routine. I could talk on and on about this guy, but I’ll spare y’all the time of day, give me JLove til the end of time. Jordan finished the year with 3,381 passing yards, 23 passing TDs, only 6 interceptions thrown, with an astounding 101.2 passer rating throughout the 15 games he started. Don’t be shocked when JLove’s name pops up in MVP chats by mid-season. #GoPackGo

#7 – Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Here’s another guy who had a down-year in the 2025-2026 season. I truly believe this year was a lot on coaching for the Baltimore Ravens, because these guys should’ve been easy contenders. Lamar fell to my 7 spot because of production last year, but it still clearly a dawg and that’s undeniable. Lamar finished the year with 2,549 passing yards, 21 passing TDs, 7 interceptions, and held a passer rating throughout the year. I fully expect Lamar and the Ravens to turn it up a notch this next year and make a deep run in the AFC, only time will tell.

#8 – Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams is clearly deserving of a Top 10 spot on this list, but definitely has a lot more in the tank than what he showed in the 2025-2026 season. Yes, Iceman was known last year for leading the Chicago Bears to insane comebacks in the 4th quarter, but no one talks about the first 3 quarters of play. It was a mix of Caleb missing easy check-down throws, receivers dropping passes that a 12u team could come up with, and just rushing through progressions. It was clear that in late game situations, Caleb kept his poise, calmed the situation at hand, and produced in areas when needed. Caleb finished the year with 3,942 passing yards (just shy of the Bears 1st 4k passing yard QB), 27 passing TDs, 7 interceptions, 3 rushing TDs on 388 rushing yards (but 7 fumbles, lolz), and held a 90.1 passer rating throughout the year. Caleb is one of those guys that if he shows up in early game situations, the Bears will have no problem closing out games. The ceiling is definitely high for Caleb, and when he takes control for 60 straight minutes, I think the Bears are going to be a real big issue for the league.

#9 – Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow misses yet another year because of injury, what a shocker. Maybe it’s time for the Bengals to put everything aside and start picking up valuable O-Linemen to protect their franchise guy? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me. I would hate to see Burrow end up in a situation like Andrew Luck because an organization is so unwillingly able to protect their guy. If the Bengals had an average OL, Burrow would be leading Cincinnati to a Bowl every single year. Burrow finished his shortened year with 1,809 passing yards, 17 passing TDs, only 5 interceptions, and held a 100.7 passer rating over the 8 games he played in. I don’t have much more to say on Burrow, PROTECT YOUR GUY!

#10 – Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

How can I not put Sam Darnold on this list? Dude has conquered every obstacle over the last 8 years and ended up carrying his squad to a 1 seed in the NFC Playoffs and won the Super Bowl. Yes, he wasn’t the greatest in some regular season games, but he would be the last guy I’d want to see toward the tail end of the season. Went toe-to-toe with the MVP of the league 3 times last year, won 2/3 matchups (should have been all 3, kickers have 1 job lol), and dominated when it mattered most. Darnold finished the year with 4,048 passing yards, 25 passing TDs, 14 interceptions thrown, and held a 99.1 passer rating throughout the course of the year. If the Seahawks never picked up Darnold, I truly don’t think they would’ve had the type of year they had.
